Engine 1 Engine 1 is a 2003 Pierce Dash custom rescue pumper, and rotates between the first and second due piece for Bedford. E-1 has both water and Class A foam capabilities, as well as carrying rescue equipment. The truck features a 6,000 watt remote control expandable roof-mounted light tower and a 10,000 watt generator with XRT to run three Hurst rescue tools. A combo tool with hydraulic reel and a 100' hose/foam line are mounted on the front bumper. A cutter and spreader with hydraulic reels is mounted in the rear compartment. The pump is capable of 1,250 gallons per minute and can hold up to 750 gallons onboard. There are also ten 34-ton air bags on the truck.
