November 2005 Summary
Four structure fires handled in town
November 2005 was a very busy month for the Bedford Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to seven fires in Bedford, as well as three fires in
surrounding communities. For the month, there
were four building fires, one outside equipment fire, one outside fire, and
one vehicle fire in town. The incidents caused an estimated $246,500
in total damage and injuries to six civilians.
Ladder 1 assisted the Lexington Fire Department with a
house explosion, while Engine 1 responded to a multiple-alarm structure fire
in Concord. Engine 2 also provided station coverage for Burlington
during a working fire.
